Limit Increase Requests

If an existing subscription needs a higher Limit value, create an OrderSubscription with type LimitIncrease. This is a priced commercial order, not a separate billing-request entity or an unbilled override.

When to Submit a Limit Increase Request

Submit a limit increase request when:

• You need to add more users than your current plan allows.
• Your storage usage is approaching the plan quota and you need more capacity.
• You need to create more surveys than your plan permits.
• You are expecting a high volume of responses that exceeds your current limit.
• You need additional API client slots beyond what your plan includes.

How to Submit a Limit Increase Request

1. Log in to your Survanta dashboard as a Tenant Admin.
2. Open /Tenant/Orders/Create.
3. Select Limit Increase as the order type.
4. In the request form, specify:
   • The type of limit you need increased (users, storage, surveys, responses, API clients).
   • The current limit as shown on your plan.
   • The new value you are requesting.
   • Any relevant context or reason for the increase.
5. Submit the request.

What Happens After Submission

Once your request is submitted:

1. The order moves from Draft to Submitted.
2. A Platform Admin approves or rejects it; the model has customer/admin notes and workflow notifications, but no attached conversation-thread entity.
3. Approval changes the order's invoice from Draft to Unpaid.
4. The customer can submit payment proof, or a Platform Admin can record full cash payment.
5. Settlement rechecks that each requested value is still greater than the current entitlement. Verified full payment changes the order to Applied and updates the entitlement snapshot.

Monitoring Your Current Usage

You can monitor your current usage against your plan limits at any time:

• Open /Tenant/Subscription for the current subscription and effective entitlements.
• Use the available dashboard usage views to compare current counts with effective limits.
• No universal automatic 80% warning rule is guaranteed by the commercial order workflow.

Tips

• Submit limit increase requests proactively rather than waiting until you hit the limit.
• Mention any upcoming projects or campaigns that will drive usage, so the Platform Admin can plan accordingly.
• If you regularly exceed a specific limit, consider requesting a plan upgrade for a more sustainable long-term solution.
