Mobile tenant users (researcher compatibility terminology)
The canonical identity is a mobile tenant user: a tenant-owned account allowed on the mobile access channel and authorized with the required survey/submission permissions. Researcher remains valid compatibility and business terminology for field collectors, but it is not a separate identity store or a universal role that bypasses tenant, assignment, permission, subscription, or access-channel checks.
Prepare a mobile tenant user / researcher
- Invite the researcher to the correct tenant.
- Assign an appropriate tenant permission group, mobile-capable access channel, and only the required survey assignments. Do not rely on the word “Researcher” alone as authorization.
- Confirm that the intended surveys and field tasks are active.
- Ask the user to sign in on the approved mobile client with JWT authentication and verify the assigned work before collection begins.
Mobile tenant users/researchers should use their own accounts and protect their sign-in details. Devices should be locked when unattended, and suspected account or device compromise should be reported immediately. Eligible owned responses can be read or edited only when survey activity, editing configuration, response status, ownership, and access mode all permit it.
Tenant administrators remain responsible for assignments, access removal, and reviewing submitted field responses.
