Manage Tenant Users — Platform Admin
Overview
Platform Admins can view, manage, and take action on user accounts within any tenant. This section is used for cross-tenant user administration, not for day-to-day tenant user management (which tenant admins handle themselves).
Viewing Users in a Tenant
- Open Tenant Users from the dashboard navigation.
- Select the tenant from the tenant filter dropdown.
- The user list shows all users belonging to that tenant, with their status, email, and assigned permission groups.
Resetting a User's Password
- Find the user in the list.
- Click Actions → Reset Password.
- The user receives a password-reset email at their registered email address.
- Platform Admins cannot view or directly set a user's password; the user completes the reset themselves.
Deactivating a User
- Find the user in the list.
- Click Actions → Deactivate.
- The user can no longer log in but their data is preserved.
- Use this for account suspension, departure from the organization, or compliance reasons.
Reactivating a User
- Filter the user list to show inactive users.
- Find the user and click Actions → Activate.
- The user can log in again with their existing credentials.
Important Boundaries
- Platform Admins manage users across tenants from a platform-level view.
- Tenant Admins manage their own users from within their tenant dashboard. Both can deactivate or reset passwords.
- A user belongs to exactly one tenant. Moving a user between tenants is not supported.
- Platform Admin accounts are not tenant users and do not appear in the tenant user list.
