Manage Integrations — Platform Admin

Overview

Platform Admins control which tenants have access to the Integration API Key feature. When integration access is enabled for a tenant, their Tenant Admin can create and manage integration API-key clients to connect external systems to the Survanta API.

What Integration API Keys Enable

Integration API keys allow external applications (BI tools, data pipelines, custom reporting systems) to access tenant data through the Survanta API, scoped to the permissions granted on each key. Keys are created and managed by Tenant Admins within their tenant, not by Platform Admins.

Enabling Integration Access for a Tenant

  1. Open Integrations from the dashboard navigation.
  2. Select the tenant from the list.
  3. Toggle Integration API Access to Enabled.
  4. Click Save.

The tenant admin for that tenant can now create integration API-key clients from their dashboard.

Disabling Integration Access

  1. Select the tenant.
  2. Toggle Integration API Access to Disabled.
  3. Click Save.

Disabling integration access prevents the tenant from creating new API-key clients. Existing active clients are suspended and their keys will be rejected by the API until access is re-enabled.

Monitoring Integration Usage

Platform Admins can view a summary of:

  • How many integration clients a tenant has created.
  • Whether the tenant is within their plan's integration-client limit.
  • Recent integration activity (if audit logging is configured).

Integration Limits

The number of integration API-key clients a tenant can create is controlled by the Maximum integration API clients limit in their subscription plan (or tenant override). Platform Admins can adjust this via the Plans & Limits or Tenant Overrides sections.

Important Notes

  • Platform Admins do not create or manage individual API-key clients. Those are tenant-managed.
  • The actual API key values are never shown in the Platform Admin interface — only the client name and status.
  • Revoking a specific API-key client is done by the Tenant Admin from their dashboard.
