Inviting team users

Tenant administrators can invite colleagues and give each person only the access needed for their responsibilities.

Before sending an invitation

• Confirm that the email address belongs to the intended person.
• Choose the appropriate tenant role and permission group.
• Check the active plan's user limit.
• Avoid granting administrative permissions to users who only collect responses or review reports.
• Confirm the tenant is active, you still hold Tenant Admin authority and the tenant-admin permission group, the selected group belongs to the tenant and is assignable, and the intended access channel matches the person's work.

Creating an invitation produces a one-time raw code that is shown to the administrator once and stored only as a hash. If you supply an intended email, Survanta sends a best-effort notice without the raw code; deliver the code separately through a private channel. The recipient enters the code, full name, matching email when restricted, phone, password/confirmation, and an active country on the dashboard registration form.

At registration, Survanta revalidates the tenant, issuer, permission group, expiry, one-time status, email restriction, and active-user MaxUsers entitlement. It atomically consumes the code, creates or converts the eligible identity into the tenant account category, applies only the revalidated group, and sends a dashboard account OTP. The user verifies the OTP before normal sign-in. After activation, review permissions and survey assignments; update or revoke access promptly when responsibilities change.

Invitation codes should be treated as private. They can be revoked while Active and cannot be reused after consumption. Do not post them in public channels or documentation, and do not assume the notice email delivered the secret code.
