Conditional survey logic

Yes — questions can be shown or hidden based on earlier answers. Conditional logic adapts a survey to the respondent's answers, so irrelevant questions stay out of the active path and follow-up questions appear only when they apply. Rules are defined in the survey builder.

What rules can do

  • Keep irrelevant questions out of the path — A respondent is not shown questions that do not apply to their answers.
  • Ask for follow-up information — Follow-up questions appear only when an earlier answer calls for them.
  • Build on earlier answers — Rules are evaluated against answers the respondent has already given in the survey.

When changes take effect

The survey player serves the published version, so changes to conditions reach respondents after the survey is published again. Editing rules alone does not change a running survey until it is republished.
